What does the Board of Appeals do and how often do they meet?
Interprets the provisions of any applicable Town Ordinance which are called into question.
Considers the issuance of a special exception permit or conditional use permit in strict compliance with any applicable Town Ordinance.
Considers granting variances where strict application of an Ordinance would cause undue hardship using established variance criteria.
Hears and determines appeals with respect to licenses, permits, variances or other required approvals, rendered by the Code Enforcement Officer of the Planning Board pursuant to the Shoreland Zoning Ordinance.
The Board meets as necessary.
